Michael Edwin Haines, 25, Fairland, died Mar. 6, 2003. He was born May 22, 1977 in Greenfield. He was a graduate of New Palestine High School and ITT Technical Institute. He had worked for INSIGHT Distribution and Eagle Micro-Computers. Services will be 11 a.m. Mon. Mar. 10 in Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Sun. Mar. 9. Memorial contributions may be made to Michael Haines Memorial Fund in care of funeral home. Survivors include mother Donna Haines, Fountaintown; father Edwin L. Haines, Fountaintown; sister Lisa Marie Haines, Fountaintown; brother Scott Wessley Haines, Fountaintown; grandparents Edwin and Mary Lou Haines, Fountaintown; grandmother Mary Jo Griffin, Crossville, AL.; niece Abby Jo Haines.

I really can’t believe it’s been 16 years. During my whole “mid-life crisis” this past few years, I’ve thought about Mike. I’ve gone through many, MANY fond memories of him and some not so wonderful (like the morning of March 6, 2003).
There are so many things I wish I could do-over, say differently or chat with him about, but alas, that must wait. Some people say it gets easier, but it doesn’t. Some days you even grow accustomed to them not being here, but the hole exists even on those days.
I miss you little brother!
